The Story of the Shepherd Boy

In the heart of the enchanting rolling hills, lived a shepherd boy. His being was essentially untarnished, simple yet virtuous. His main role was mainly to tend to his herd of rams.

Their gentle baas and the whispering of the breezes among the solo tree on the hilltop were his constant co-dwellers. Day after day, watching over his charges imbued in him a sense of calm satisfaction.

Yet, there were the occasional moments of solitude, when the shepherd boy would pine for fellowship. In one such instance from sheer boredom, the shepherd boy devised a troublesome plan.

Narratives of wild beasts hunting on sheep had been heard times and again in the hamlet. So, the boy decided to exploit website this fear and played a prank on the inhabitants.

One morning he ran into the village shouting “Wolf! A wolf is that has taken my sheep!” The scared villagers rushed up the hills for rescue but discovered no wolf.

The story of this shepherd boy has been passed down generations as a mediaeval parable to teaching the value of honesty, the implications of dishonesty and the perils of false alarms. Moreover, it highlights how trust once broken, is tough to earn back. It's a story as relevant today as it was then.
